I shaved the side of my head, and Im not sure if I still like it... Help?

So I shaved the left side of my hair, but the right side is still long. Im into the punk scene and I thought it would becool, but when I sent a picture to one of my guy friends he said it looked weird. Now I feel like I made a big mistake. Should I keep my hairstyle or should I flip my part tocover up the shaved part?
