What is most important when writing a book?

I think writing is more important - I might be a little biased, considering I'm one of the most unimaginative writers I know so the quality of my writing is more important. But a book can be full of absolute crap, and provided the writing is good it's still readable. Without good writing, the best plots can look awful.
